I've been a Massage Therapist since 2014 and have been training in and practicing holistic bodywork since 1995.
My interest in the healing arts and alternative therapies began in the 1990s when I was training in martial arts and practicing Raja Yoga. I have trained in Tellington T-Touch and did bodywork with dogs, cats and other animals. I've also trained in Reiki, IET (Integrated Energy Therapy), dry cupping, Ayurvedic Marma Point massage, stone massage, and advanced myofascial work.
I've been receiving bodywork treatments since 1988, starting with Reflexology and Shiatsu. I've also received treatments in modalities such as Structural Integration (the Rolfing 10 Series), Craniosacral, and Thai Yoga massage.
I maintained a casual part time practice for years until 2012 when I entered the Massage Therapy program. After that hiatus, I hung out my shingle as a part-time RMT in February 2018 and then moved to a full-time practice in May 2018.
My journey continues as I explore the many elements of bodywork that help facilitate healing, wellness and personal growth.
I'm invested in and passionate about helping my clients restore function and range of motion by releasing the soft tissue restrictions and other conditions that contribute to chronic pain and tension.
My bodywork style draws from different modalities to provide options for clients to choose an integrative treatment designed to fit their distinctive needs for individual sessions and their overall long-term treatment plan goals.
My standard therapeutic treatment combines various techniques including Swedish, Thai, and Deep Tissue massage, Myofascial therapy, Dry Cupping, Stone massage, Reiki, Marma Point massage, Compression therapy, Sound Healing and Breathwork.
I'm always curious about seeking new techniques so I can provide a versatile range of skills to increase the effectiveness and overall experience of a massage bodywork treatment. I've had success helping clients resolve and/or manage chronic pain issues such as headache and migraine conditions, low back pain, and plantar fasciitis, as well as improving overall shoulder and hip functionality.
I love what I do; I intend to keep growing and learning in order to provide the highest quality bodywork for my clients.
